Research Center Research Request Form

The Benzie Area Historical Society Museum & Research Center maintains a collection of historical records, photographs, and archival materials related to the history of Benzie County and the surrounding region. These resources are available to researchers, students, and community members who want to learn more about the area’s past.

You may use the Research Request Form below to ask about materials in the museum’s archives. Requests may be for personal interest, academic research, student projects, or professional purposes. Please include a short description of what you are looking for so our staff and volunteers can assist you.

If you would like to visit the Research Center, check the appointment box on the form. One of our Research Associates will contact you within 5–7 days to discuss available dates and times.

If you are interested in digital copies of photographs or other archival materials,  Some materials require a signed Reproduction and Use Permissions Form before copies can be provided. Additional information is available on the Historic Photos & Images page under Online Resources.

Once submitted, your request will be sent to museum staff for review. We look forward to helping you explore the history of Benzie County.
