Benzie County Historical Marker Tour: Saturday, October 9

This is an autumn, enjoy-the-weather, self-driving tour with docents on site at each marker to “tell the story.”  A map to marker sites and the  program schedule will be available at the Museum, either in advance or on the tour day.  It is also available for download from our website prior to the event by clicking on the following web link:

Docents will be in place between:

10:00 a.m.-noon

Platte River Fish Hatchery, Thompsonville Diamond Crossing, Crystal Lake Outlet and Beach

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Benzonia College, Bruce Catton, Mills Community House, Benzonia Congregational Church (Benzie Area Historical Museum), and Joyfield Township Cemetery

1:00-3:00 p.m.

Frankfort Father Marquette’s death site, Frankfort Congregational Church, Soaring, and Car Ferries on Lake Michigan

Visit all or only some of the markers.
