Leonard Case’s column “The Crystal Gazer” was published in the Benzie County Advisor for more than 20 years. During this time, he planned to publish the collection of columns in book form.

However, Mr. Case’s death in June, 1978 left the proposed book unfinished. The Benzie Area Historical Society published this book when Leonard Case’s manuscripts were donated to the Society by his family.
