The museum is currently staffed for donation drop-off by appointment only, but remains closed for in-person visits.
Please note our Museum and the Drake School are currently closed to the public out of abundance of caution. Our work goes on! Many of our research, genealogy, archival and collections volunteers are continuing to contribute to the texture and depth of Benzie County’s stories from the safety and comfort of their own homes. A limited group of volunteers works at the Museum following COVID-19 safety protocols.
We look forward to safely resuming tours and giving you the opportunity to experience Benzie County’s amazing history first-hand at the Museum, Drake School and at programs throughout our community.
Our Museum is located at 6941 Traverse Ave, one block west of US 31 in Benzonia. Traverse Ave. continues about 4 blocks west before becoming River Road, which continues on to M 22 between Frankfort and Elberta.
