Summer Internship Opportunity at the Benzie Area Historical Museum
Are you passionate about history, museums, and local heritage? The Benzie Area Historical Museum is offering a Summer Internship for college students eager to gain hands-on experience in historical research, archival work, exhibit development, and community engagement.
Location: Benzie Area Historical Society Museum, Benzonia, MI
Duration: Summer 2025 (Start date is flexible)
Hours: Flexible scheduling available
Stipend: Up to $3600.00. Housing is not provided.
Project Opportunities (Examples):
- Develop and implement a 3D Virtual Museum Tour experience
- Create a multimedia project through oral histories, photographs and video resources
- Curate and catalog the museum Map Collection, including digitization and photography
- Transform the museum’s Online Catalog with new digital content and materials
Who Should Apply?
This internship is ideal for college students studying history, museum studies, anthropology, or related fields. Strong research, writing, and communication skills are a plus!
