Your tour docent: Jane Purkis
The Benzie Area Historical Society will offer a walking tour of historic Honor on Tuesday, June 28, at 7:00 p.m. Society Curator Jane Purkis will lead the tour, which is offered free of charge.
Did you know that Honor was the Benzie County seat for eight years? And that there really was an Honor that the village is named for or why the village was established? Join the Benzie Area Historical Society to learn the answers to these questions and much more. Purkis will have historic picture packets for participants to reference.
Tour participants are asked to meet at the private home located at 10845 Main Street in Honor. The walk will cover about eight blocks of flat walking. Parking is available at the empty parking lot across from the Honor Motel on US 31.
