Join us for a unique tour of the historic SS City of Milwaukee!

Thursday, August 5, 11:00 a.m.

The Benzie Area Historical Society has partnered with our friends at the SS City of Milwaukee to offer you an opportunity to tour two retired seagoing vessels, the Steamship City of Milwaukee.  

This unique tour includes lunch in the historic crew or guest dining rooms or you can dine  outside on the Museum grounds.

The SS City of Milwaukee is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary and is the last of six sister ships designed in the 1920s and built by the Manitowac Shipbuilding company out of Wisconsin.

The Steamship Historical Society of America recently recognized the SS City of Milwaukee as Museum Ship of the Year

The cost of the tour is $30 and includes lunch and a souvenir guide to the historic boat.  Reservations are required and limited to 30 guests.  Guests will provide their own transportation to the S.S. Milwaukee home in Manistee.

Lunch will be catered by Two Slices and will include your choice of sandwich (below), chips, cookie and drink.
  • Ham with swiss cheese (mayo, green onion, lettuce, tomato,  balsamic reduction), OR
  • Turkey with provolone cheese (tomato, red onion, arugula, garlic aioli) OR
  • Veggie with hummus, (roasted red pepper, lettuce, tomato,  balsamic reduction).
