Greatest Generation Remembered

In 2024, The Benzie Area Historical Society will be honoring those who helped “Make The World Safe for Democracy.”  As part of this celebration, we will be featuring a photographic display of men and women who served in the military and volunteer services from Benzie County.  Our goal is to feature as many veterans as possible and we need the public’s help locating original photos (please, no copies or newspapers) and biographical information about these people.

If you have photographs and information you wish to share, please contact the museum at (231) 882-5539 to set up an appointment.  If you have original photos, we will scan them using museum equipment and then give you back your originals.  If you are not in this area, we will ask that you mail us your original photographs.  Once scanned, we will return them to you promptly.  Our address is:
